Letter from the President

Abstract

It is my pleasure to write this short piece for our Newsletter now that I am back fromLondon, where many of us attended the 8th ICML conference. The conference itself wasa great success with more than 1400 registered participants in the marvellous functionalvenue, the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Center with its magnificent view over Westminster Abbey. The Organizing Committee had worked hard to accomodate all plenarysessions and the great number of parallel sessions (9 at the same time!). In this way one could choose the themes according to personal interests.Also our Association had its own sessions: the EAHIL Board and Council met which you will read in the relevant section of the newsletter. I would like to underline however the new cooperation agreement signed with MLA and closer cooperation with the editor of Health Libraries Review, Judith Palmer.
